Standard Warranty

The following text is a copy of our standard warranty and is not a valid warranty certificate nor can it be used as proof of warranty.

Subject to the warranty conditions below, Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd. warrants, to the original purchaser, it's products as listed below to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year from the date of original purchase from Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd.

Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd. Silver one-year return-to-base parts & labour warranty:

  1. This warranty covers hardware against failure of the component, (return to base). Physical damage or mishandling of the machine or its components will void the warranty. The keyboard and mouse (consumable items) are excluded from this warranty.
  2. The warranty finishes one year from the date of the Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd. invoice. No further parts warranty will be available without extra cost. A service fee of $55 +GST per component will apply for warranty service beyond the Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd. warranty term and is only available if the manufacturer of the component agrees to cover the item.
  3. An RA number must be obtained from Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd. before shipping the machine. Returns without RA numbers and fault descriptions will not be received by Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd.
  4. Software or Operating System problems are not covered warranty. Assistance with Software or Operating System problems is available for a fee. In the event of a hard disk failure, reloading of the Operating System and attempted recovery of data are not covered by warranty. These services are available for a fee. Replacement of the hard disk with another hard disk is covered by the warranty.
  5. Delays while replacement parts are obtained may occur. The Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd. Gold warranty provides a higher level of service but that option was not taken when this machine was purchased.
  6. A No-Fault-Found fee of $60 + GST will apply to cover labour costs if the item reported as faulty is found to be OK.
  7. Freight to and from Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd. is the responsibility of the customer.
  8. This warranty is given only to the original purchaser.
  9. Under this warranty, time taken to replace parts depends solely on the supplier of specific parts.
  10. This warranty applies only to the equipment that was originally supplied by Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd.. Equipment from other sources that may be added to the system is not covered by the Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd. warranty.
  11. This warranty shall only apply if, in the opinion of Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd., the equipment has had normal use and reasonable care. Any indication of abnormal use or treatment or maintenance by an unauthorised person may void the warranty.
  12. This warranty does not cover equipment that has been used outside Australia or damage that may be caused by incorrect voltage mains power supply, lightning strikes or power supply fluctuations, misuse or alteration of the original equipment, accidental damage or neglect, abuse, faulty installation of equipment, repairs or attempted repairs by an unauthorised person or other devices, not supplied by Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd., that may have been added to the equipment.
  13. Dealers have no authority to amend or extend this warranty on behalf of Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd.

To the full extent permitted by the Commonwealth, State, Territory or other laws applicable to this warranty certificate, any conditions or warranties imposed by such legislation are hereby excluded. Insofar as liability under or pursuant to any legislation, whether of Commonwealth, State, Territory or other government, may not be excluded, such liability is limited to repair or replacement of any hardware or software that becomes defective within the warranty period, subject to conditions 1 to 8 in this certificate.

You acknowledge that no promise, representation or warranty or undertaking has been made or given by Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd. or any person or company on its behalf in relation to the profitability of or any other consequences or benefits to be obtained from the delivery or use of the hardware and or software and any accompanying manuals or written material. You have relied on your own skill and judgement in deciding to acquire the hardware and or software, manuals and written material for use by you. This agreement constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between you and Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd. in relation to the supply of Hardware and or Software, manuals or any written materials.

Except as and to the extent that it is hereinbefore provided, under no circumstances shall Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd. or any related company be liable for any loss, damage or injury (including without limitation any loss of profit, indirect, consequential or incidental loss, damage or injury) arising from the supply or use of the Hardware or Software, manuals or any written materials or any failure by Data Fast Systems Pty. Ltd. or any related company to perform any obligation or observe any terms of this warranty certificate. This agreement is covered by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
